«The Tangible Image»

Behind the visitor's back is a graphic coordinate system. He is filmed by a camera and sees his own image placed within the graphic network on a projection screen. Now the visitor can touch a monitor with a rubber surface outfitted with sensors, which register the touches and transmit them to a computer. Depending on the site and strength of the touches, the projected coordinate system changes (the visitor is in it in real time). Here, Weibel thematizes the simultaneous presence in two different places – in the real room of the exhibition and in the digital space manifested on the projection screen.
