David Rokeby
* 1960 in Tillsonburg, Ontario (CAN); 1984 graduated with Honours in Experimental Art from Ontario College of Art. He uses technology to reflect on human issues and interactivity in order to explore intuitive, bodily, spatial and intimate relationships between the computer and the human being—also against the general notion of what computers are good for. Several of his works have addressed issues of digital surveillance and critical examination of the differences between human and artificial intelligence. Rokeby lives and works in Toronto (CAN).
